What dark case will troubled detective Harry Ambrose be immersed in next?

USA Network has officially given the green light to a fourth season of The Sinner, with Bill Pullman set to return as Detective Ambrose. So far, the plot is being kept under wraps and no other casting announcements have been made.

The Sinner has struck a chord with audiences with its signature ‘whydunnit’ style,” USA Network & SYFY President Chris McCumber said in a statement. “In Season 4, we’re excited to dig even deeper into the psyche of Bill Pullman’s beloved Detective Ambrose character, while introducing our audience to a compelling, completely new mystery.”

Pullman has played Ambrose in all three previous seasons of the anthology-esque series. He starred opposite Jessical Biel in the first season, Carrie Coon in the second, and Matt Bomer in the third. Biel will continue on behind the scenes as an executive producer.

The fourth season is expected to arrive in 2021. Stay tuned for who this season’s “sinner” will be.

It’s good to report on a renewed show from USA Network, particularly after the cancellations of their shows The Purge, Treadstone and Dare Me.
