Apple TV+ has unveiled the official trailer for its upcoming comedy series The Studio, a Hollywood satire led by Seth Rogen, who also serves as co-creator, writer, director, and executive producer. Take a look at the trailer above and learn more below.
A Darkly Funny Look at Hollywood’s Struggles
The Studio offers a comedic and what looks like biting look at the modern film industry. Rogen stars as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of Continental Studios, a struggling Hollywood powerhouse desperate to stay relevant. Tasked with navigating corporate greed, chaotic creatives, and the crumbling state of theatrical cinema, Matt and his team attempt to keep their industry alive—often to disastrous and hilariously misguided results.

The trailer highlights Matt’s dilemma, showing him stepping into power just as the studio’s CEO, played by Bryan Cranston, forces him into greenlighting a Kool-Aid movie—an absurd yet all-too-believable reflection of the industry’s current state. As Matt tries to balance his cinephilic passion with the cutthroat demands of studio executives, he quickly finds himself spiralling into a blend of self-loathing and desperate compromise.
“If it was up to me we’d be focusing on making the next Rosemary’s Baby or Annie Hall, or some great film that wasn’t directed by a pervert,” says Rogen’s character. Quinn (played by Bodies Bodies Bodies star Chase Sui Wonders) responds, “Turns out perverts make great movies.”
Star-Studded Ensemble and A-List Cameos
Joining Rogen is a strong supporting cast that includes Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders. The show also boasts major recurring guest stars, including Cranston, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, and Dewayne Perkins. And then there are the many, many celebrity cameos: Martin Scorsese, Paul Dano, Charlize Theron, Peter Berg, Nicholas Stoller, Steve Buscemi, Olivia Wilde, Ron Howard, Greta Lee, Ice Cube, and many more.
The Creative Team
Behind the scenes, The Studio is the brainchild of Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez, with Lionsgate Television producing. Point Grey Pictures’ James Weaver, Alex McAtee and Josh Fagen also serve as executive producers alongside Rogen and Goldberg.
When Will The Studio be Released?
The Studio will premiere with a two-episode drop on March 26th, followed by one episode every week until the finale on May 21st.
