The Terminal List is bringing in a new player for its next mission. Gabriel Luna has been cast in the second season of the Prime Video series, stepping into a key recurring role opposite returning lead Chris Pratt.
Luna will be playing Freddy Strain, a character described as a former SEAL Team 6 Senior Chief who now works with the CIA’s Ground Branch. On paper, he’s a highly trained sniper. Off the clock, he’s a committed family man. Strain’s belief that James Reece (Pratt) made it through the chaos of season one pulls the Navy SEAL-turned-fugitive back into the spotlight. From there, Strain is set to play a pivotal role as Reece navigates a dangerous path towards redemption. Season two will adapt True Believer, Jack Carr’s second novel in the James Reece series.
Luna’s casting continues a busy stretch for the actor. He’s currently filming Peacock’s true-crime series Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, and he’ll soon be seen in season two of HBO’s The Last of Us, where he’ll reprise his role as Tommy Miller. His recent credits also include The Astronaut, which premiered at SXSW, and he’s known for his turns in Terminator: Dark Fate and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which saw him playing Marvel character Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider.

Season two of The Terminal List is gearing up to start production in the coming weeks. Fans also have another project to look forward to, with prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, led by Taylor Kitsch, already filmed and awaiting a release date.
The series continues under showrunner David DiGilio, with Pratt also executive producing through Indivisible Productions. Other executive producers include Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick (Hill District Media), Jack Carr, Max Adams, and Jared Shaw. It’s a co-production between Amazon MGM Studios and Civic Center Media, in association with MRC.
