The wait is almost over for fans of The Wheel of Time. Season 3 of the fantasy series will be landing on Prime Video in just a few months! Specifically, March 13th. The announcement came during CCXP24 in São Paulo, Brazil, where the teaser trailer above was also revealed. Showrunner Rafe Judkins and cast members Josha Stradowski (Rand al’Thor) and Madeleine Madden (Egwene al’Vere) were on hand to hype up fans about the pivotal chapter to come. 

The teaser hints at quite the turbulent season ahead. Rand is grappling with his role as the Dragon Reborn while the Shadow’s grip tightens on the world. Moiraine and Egwene are prepared to go to extraordinary lengths to keep him from slipping into darkness. Season 3 picks up where the last left off. Rand reunited with his friends and accepted his destiny, but the threats haven’t eased up. Divisions in the White Tower, the Black Ajah’s growing power, and dangerous Forsaken like Lanfear add to the tension. Meanwhile, Rand’s shifting alliances and worsening corruption put his closest allies to the test.

The expansive cast includes Rosamund Pike (Saltburn, Gone Girl) as Moiraine Damodred, joined by Daniel Henney (Criminal Minds) as Lan Mandragoran, and Josha Stradowski (Gran Turismo) as Rand al’Thor. Zoë Robins (Power Rangers Ninja Steel) plays Nynaeve al’Meara, with Madeleine Madden (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) as Egwene al’Vere, and Marcus Rutherford (Obey) as Perrin Aybara, among many others.

Rafe Judkins (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Hemlock Grove) serves as both executive producer and showrunner. Executive producers include Pike, Rick Selvage and Larry Mondragon (Winter Dragon), Mike Weber (Jumanji: The Next Level), Ted Field of Radar Pictures (Winter Dragon), Marigo Kehoe (Outlander), Ciaran Donnelly (Kin), Justine Juel Gillmer (Halo), and Dave Hill (Game of Thrones).
