Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, an animated chapter in Geralt of Rivia’s journey. Check out the two-minute preview above and read on for more info.
The plot here, taking place between Episodes 5 and 6 of The Witcher’s first season, begins with Geralt investigating a string of violent attacks in a coastal village. What seems like a routine monster hunt soon pulls him into an ancient clash between humans and merpeople. As tensions rise, Geralt must navigate dangerous waters to prevent full-scale war. The film is inspired by Andrzej Sapkowski’s short story “A Little Sacrifice.”
Returning to voice the White Wolf is Doug Cockle, who brought Geralt to life in The Witcher video game series. Joining him are The Witcher series stars Anya Chalotra, reprising her role as the powerful sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Joey Batey, back as Jaskier. Christina Wren lends her voice to the character Essi Daven, who appears in Sapkowski’s short story.

The film is helmed by Kang Hei Chul, who previously served as a storyboard artist on The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. The Witcher writers Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin pen the script, while Sapkowski himself lends his expertise as a creative consultant. Animation is handled by Studio MIR, renowned for its work on The Legend of Korra and Voltron: Legendary Defender.
The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep will premiere on Netflix on 11 February.
