Marvel has unveiled the very first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, and it’s pretty damn spectacular.

Directed by New Zealander Taika Waititi, known for Boy, What We Do in the Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Thor: Ragnarok finds Chris Hemsworth’s God of thunder locked up on the other side of the universe after being taken down by Cate Blanchett’s powerful supervillainess Hela.

The first trailer may be classified as a “teaser”, but it runs almost 2-minutes long and shows off enough jaw-dropping snippets to have you salivating like crazy. “We know each other! He’s a friend from work!” Enjoy.

Thor: Ragnarok, also starring Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, Jaimie Alexander, Anthony Hopkins, Sam Neill and Benedict Cumberbatch, arrives in Australia on October 26 and opens in the US on November 3.

Synopsis for Thor: Ragnarok:
