The first red band teaser trailer has been released for Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead, the upcoming sequel for the 2009 Norwegian horror-comedy Dead Snow. The first film was a fun zombie-horror-comedy that had its blood-covered tongue shoved deeply into its rotting cheek. The plot surrounded a group of medical students who find themselves confronted by an unimaginable menace: Nazi zombies. The film became a worldwide hit, finding a strong following on the DVD circuit. The sequel looks equally bloody and entertaining, with Martin (Vegar Hoel) waking up in hospital after the events of the first film. In an awesome turn of events, the doctors managed to re-attach an arm, which may not be his. Either way, this arm looks to be quite useful now…
You can find the official synopsis and international poster under the trailer.
Official synopsis for Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead:
If the worst day of your life consisted of accidentally killing your girlfriend with an axe, chain-sawing your own arm off, and watching in horror as your closest friends were devoured by a zombified Nazi battalion, you’d have to assume that things couldn’t get much worse. In Martin’s case, that was only the beginning.
Directed by Tommy Wirkola, who directed Dead Snow and Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.
The film will be making its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next month.
