The first official trailer has finally been released for Terry Gilliam’s next oddity The Zero Theorem. Christoph Waltz stars as a computer hacker who tries to search for the meaning of life, but whose efforts are constantly distracted by a shadowy figure known as ‘Management.’ Fans of Gilliam’s work will be pretty excited for a film that looks just like something you would expect from the filmmaker. Bizarre, quirky, colourful and bursting with ideas, The Zero Theorem could see Gilliam back in the saddle. Arguably, the hit-and-miss director hasn’t made a solid film since Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas back in 1998, but The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus did have some of its moments. Fingers crossed The Zero Theorem somewhat replicates the unique type of vision he brought with Brazil.
Starring Christoph Waltz, Melanie Thierry, Lucas Hedges, Ben Whishaw, Tilda Swinton, David Thewlis, and Matt Damon.
