A new international trailer has dropped for Transformers: The Last Knight, delivering plenty of bang for what will surely be a lot of buck when all is said and done.
The money-printing franchise is up to its fifth chapter with The Last Knight, which once again has Michael Bay at the helm. If you’re a fan of what’s been delivered in the series, you’re likely going to be in for another great time. It almost goes without saying that naysayers needn’t apply, at least if the trailers thus far are any indication.
It’s going to be interesting to see how the franchise fares without Bay as director. We’ll find out when the first spinoff, the Hailee Steinfeld-starring Bumblebee, directed by Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings), hits the U.S. on 8 June 2018.
Transformers: The Last Knight, starring Mark Wahlberg, Laura Haddock, Anthony Hopkins, Isabela Moner, Stanley Tucci, John Goodman, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Gil Birmingham and Jean Dujardin, arrives in Australia on June 22 and hits the US on June 23.
After checking out the new trailer, be sure to scroll down to take a look at 12 official character posters.
Synopsis for Transformers: The Last Knight:
The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock). There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.
