Dwight Manfredi got rid of one very dangerous enemy at the end of Tulsa King Season 3. Season 4 appears determined to replace him with several. The official trailer has arrived for the next chapter of the Taylor Sheridan-created Paramount+ hit, with Sylvester Stallone‘s Dwight facing raids, political pressure, a new criminal looking to take Tulsa and the prospect of watching his hard-built empire disappear. “Bad things are gonna happen to bad people,” he warns. Watch the trailer above and get the details below.
Dwight’s Attempt to Go Legit Is Going Very Badly
After three seasons of muscling his way into Oklahoma and building a criminal operation from almost nothing, Dwight enters Season 4 trying to make that empire legitimate. The timing could hardly be worse. The trailer shows authorities descending on his businesses, with the Bred-2-Buck, Even Higher Plane dispensary and Montague distillery all seemingly caught in the crackdown.
More on Screen Realm:
“Everything I own is gone,” Dwight says as his operations are hit. He’s not planning to quietly accept the situation, either, later declaring: “I’m not ready to fold. I’m gonna get it all back.”
There may be something far more serious coming than losing money and property. As Paramount+ puts it, Dwight will be struck by a “crushing personal loss” as corrupt politicians and dangerous new enemies close in. Exactly what that means is being kept under wraps, but the larger set-up has Dwight trying to protect both his crew and what he has built while being pulled back towards the street instincts he brought with him from New York.
Where Did Tulsa King Season 3 Leave Dwight?

Spoilers ahead for Season 3.
Dwight ended Season 3 in a stronger position than he had occupied for much of it, although getting there involved a particularly brutal conclusion to his war with Jeremiah Dunmire (Robert Patrick). After Jeremiah kidnapped Dwight’s sister Joanne, his increasingly disillusioned son Cole turned against him and gave Dwight’s crew the information needed to storm the Dunmire property.
The rescue succeeded, Joanne survived and Dwight ultimately gave Jeremiah a version of the same horrific fate Jeremiah had inflicted on Theodore Montague earlier in the season, killing him by fire and bringing their feud to a definitive end.
Other pieces were falling Dwight’s way as well. Cal Thresher (Neal McDonough) won the Oklahoma governor’s race and offered Margaret (Dana Delany) a place in his administration, potentially putting someone close to Dwight inside the state’s new power structure. Dwight’s dealings with FBI Special Agent Musso (Kevin Pollak) had also helped clear the way for his liquor operation to move forward.
The unfinished business was back in New York. Quiet Ray (James Russo) had hired Russell Lee Washington Jr. (Samuel L. Jackson) to kill Dwight, only for Russell to reject the job, warn his old friend and ultimately help him take down Dunmire. Russell then headed for New Orleans, while Dwight was left with the obvious problem of a New York mob boss whose attempted hit had failed. Jackson is now set to continue Russell’s story in the forthcoming spin-off Frisco King, which has since shifted the character’s next chapter to Texas.
Season 4 doesn’t jump far beyond any of this. Head writer and executive producer Terence Winter told TVLine that the new episodes take place “very shortly” after the Season 3 finale.
New Enemies Are Coming From More Than the Mob

One of the biggest additions is Gretchen Mol as Amanda Clark, who makes her intention to drive organised crime out of Oklahoma pretty clear in the trailer. That puts her directly across Dwight’s path just as Margaret gains access to the incoming Thresher administration.
Winter offered more context to TVLine, revealing that Dwight will be dealing with trouble extending well beyond rival gangsters. “His enemies come not only from within the Mob itself, but also the tech and political worlds,” he said.
Margaret’s new political access will be important as well. Winter confirmed that she becomes a special assistant to Governor Thresher and understands what that position could mean for Dwight, with the arrangement ultimately having a major impact on him.
There’s another player looking to take advantage of the situation. Elijah Everett (BMF) appears in the trailer as Liquid Rick, a music producer with criminal ambitions who announces his intention to take over Tulsa. He’s arriving just as Dwight’s businesses are being targeted from several directions, adding another potential turf war to a season that already looks crowded with enemies.
Quiet Ray Still Has a Score to Settle
Jeremiah may be gone, but Dwight’s New York problem remains. Russell refusing Quiet Ray’s contract didn’t make the original hit disappear, and Winter confirmed to TVLine that Dwight and Ray begin Season 4 as hostile towards one another as ever, with their feud continuing to escalate.
That makes Quiet Ray more than a dangling Season 3 thread. With Russell leaving Oklahoma for New Orleans, Dwight is once again the one left dealing with the consequences of a New York mob dispute that followed him halfway across the country.
Terence Winter Is Back Behind the Scenes
There’s a notable return behind the camera as well. Winter, whose credits include The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire, is back as head writer and executive producer for Season 4.
Winter helped develop Tulsa King for television and served as showrunner on its first season before remaining involved as a writer and executive producer on Season 2. After sitting out Season 3, he’s now back in a leading creative role as the series moves into its fourth chapter.
Stallone remains an executive producer alongside Sheridan, Winter, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Thomas Kelly and Keith Cox. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
Who’s Returning for Tulsa King Season 4?

Stallone is again joined by much of Dwight’s increasingly large circle, with Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Frank Grillo, Mike “Cash Flo” Walden, James Russo, Kevin Pollak, Neal McDonough, Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany among the returning cast.
Mol joins the regular cast for Season 4, while Everett’s Liquid Rick is among the notable new faces entering Dwight’s increasingly complicated world.
