Tusk Clip: Justin Long Doesn’t Want to Die in Canada in Kevin Smith’s Bizarre Horror Film

The first official clip has been released from Tusk, the bizarre upcoming horror film from writer-director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, Domga, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back). While his career has mostly surrounded the comedy genre, Smith took a sharp turn with Red State. The horror-thriller admittedly had a hell of a lot of dark humour running throughout, but it was an overall decent change of pace for Smith. Not only has he decided to follow that up with another horror film, but he’s gone down one twisted little path with the film’s premise.

Tusk follows a podcast host (yeah, we’ve heard you, Kevin) who interviews strange people with fascinating stories. He travels to Canada to interview Michael Parks’ Howard Howe, who’s decided that turning our podcaster into a human-walrus hybrid is the way to go. Yep, that’s not good. We’re still on the fence with this one. The idea simply sounds like an “amusing” spin on The Human Centipede, but Kevin Smith’s work has impressed in the past. We’ll see…

Check out the Tusk clip, which sees Justin Long’s Wallace Bryton scared shitless.

Official synopsis for Tusk:
