Universal Pictures has announced they will be remaking the South African thriller iNumber Number. The film premiered last year at the Toronto Film Festival and was quickly snapped up by executives. The film focuses on an undercover police detective acting as a common robber in order to carry out a heist. David DiGilio will be developing the new screenplay. He has recently written a TV series adaptation of the hit film Man On Fire. DiGilio has also drafted a new film for Universal Pictures titled Low G. According to Deadline, Anikah McLaren and Chloe Yellin are overseeing for Universal. Chris Morgan will also be producing for his Universal-based Chris Morgan Productions. Kyle Franke will be overseeing for XYZ, while Nate Bolotin and Nick Spicer will act as its executive producers. The original film enjoyed widespread critical acclaim, so hopefully this will be mirrored with the remake.
