Prime Video has released a sneak peek at the fourth and final season of Upload, giving fans an early glimpse at what’s in store for the show’s last ride. The clip above debuted at San Diego Comic-Con during a send-off panel with creator Greg Daniels and the main cast.
It’s bittersweet. Not only is this the end of the road for Upload, but the finale will arrive in the form of just four episodes. Still, at least fans are getting a goodbye.

Martial arts, spy glasses, and digital goodbyes
The new footage centres on Aleesha, played by Zainab Johnson, in what appears to be an off-the-books training session for a stealth mission. Inside the dojo of a mentor named Mr. Chu, Aleesha is put through the paces and quickly learns that charm alone won’t get her through her Horizon infiltration.
To even the odds, Mr. Chu hands over a pair of sleek glasses that can predict attacks in real time. Cue a fun burst of slow-mo martial arts chaos as Aleesha channels her inner action hero, and albeit accidentally taking down her trainer in the process.
What’s the final season about?
The upcoming season raises the stakes considerably. A sentient AI has gone rogue, threatening to wipe out both the digital afterlife of Lakeview and the real world. Amidst this looming crisis, the gang must reunite to take on corrupt executives, settle emotional arcs, and solve the long-running mysteries the series has left hanging — including the question of which Nathan survived the season 3 finale.
Who’s back for the end?
Apart from Johnson, returning cast includes Robbie Amell, Andy Allo, Kevin Bigley, Allegra Edwards, and Owen Daniels. Behind the scenes, series creator Greg Daniels leads the charge once more, joined by executive producers Howard Klein and Maxwell Vivian.
Upload has remained a consistent draw for Prime Video, blending sci-fi satire with romantic comedy and existential weirdness. After three solid seasons and plenty of digital misadventures, the show is aiming to go out on its own terms — short, but hopefully sharp.
Release date
The final four episodes of Upload will drop all at once on Prime Video on August 25.
