Following on from that trailer teaser, which did its job by working up a good bit of buzz, comes the trailer itself.
The first official Warcraft trailer is here, and it may convince you of an epic adaptation to rival the grand goodness of The Lord of the Rings, or it may prove to be a little underwhelming.
In a plot that seems reminiscent of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Warcraft tells the story of the conflict between orcs and humans, centering on characters that attempt to find a middle ground in order to avoid unnecessary bloodshed.
Moon and Source Code director Duncan Jones is at the helm of this high-profile picture, which could be one of the best video game movies ever or further cement the fact Hollywood simply can’t bring video games to the world of cinema in suitable fashion. Here’s hoping for the former.
