An exciting official teaser trailer has arrived for the fourth season of HBO‘s big-budget sci-fi series, Westworld, finally heading our way following season 3’s finale back in May 2020.
As you can see in the intriguing first look below, the key cast members are back for the next chapter, including Evan Rachel Wood as (possibly?) Dolores Abernathy, Thandiwe Newton as Maeve Millay, Ed Harris as Man in Black, Jeffrey Wright as Bernard Lowe, Tessa Thompson as Maeve Millay, Luke Hemsworth as Ashley Stubbs, and Aaron Paul, who joined the series in season three as Caleb Nichols.
We’ve come a long way since the show’s first-season plot of androids running amok in a futuristic Wild West fantasy park. With a third season that expanded the world to heady, complicated lengths, it was a little disappointing that the overall season arc put forth so many questions and left a tonne unanswered (the folks at YouTube channel The Ringer explored some of the lingering question marks in this video breakdown). Still, it’s an ambitious series, packed with interesting ideas, awesome visuals, jaw-dropping production value, and a great cast, so I’m more than keen to see what lies in store in chapter four. A number of season recaps may be needed first to get up to speed before re-entry. Fingers crossed the series brings the goods again.
The eight-episode fourth season of Westworld will be kicking off on HBO on June 26th.
