Take a look at the trailer Netflix has released for upcoming limited series What/If, from the creator of Revenge.
Renée Zellweger plays a very successful venture capitalist who turns the life of a cash-strapped newlywed couple upside down when she makes them an offer: she’ll finance their company, if she can have a night with him. And by the looks of it, she’s willing to mess with anyone’s life if it means she can get ahead. “True success, comes at any cost,” she says.
It certainly looks to have the makings of a soapy hit, with sexy moves and shady dealings the order of the day. If you’re into this type of series, it’s likely one to be putting onto that watch list.
This is to be an anthology series. As we reported last year, each season will tackle a different morality tale inspired by what Netflix calls “culturally consequential source material.”
What/If, also starring Jane Levy, Blake Jenner, Samantha Ware, Keith Powers, and Daniella Pineda, among others, hits Netflix on May 24.
Neo-noir social thriller What / If explores the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things. The season focuses on a mysterious woman’s lucrative but dubious offer to a cash-strapped pair of San Francisco newlyweds.
