Netflix has dropped an energetic teaser trailer for Wheelman, an upcoming action-thriller that puts Frank Grillo behind the wheel.
The Kingdom and Captain America: Civil War actor plays a getaway driver who finds himself in a race-to-survive after a bank robbery goes wrong.
This marks the feature directorial debut for the appropriately named Jeremy Rush, whose previous credits include two short films. Smokin’ Aces and The Grey director Joe Carnahan is on board as producer and has shepherded this one for quite a while; he’ll be teaming up with Grillo again in his redo of The Raid.
It’s a fun, breathless teaser, keeping the plot under wraps but driving home what appears to be a tense, gritty tone. Fingers crossed this Netflix film is a winner.
Wheelman, which also stars Caitlin Carmichael, Garret Dillahunt, Wendy Moniz and John Cenatiempo, will hit the streaming giant on October 20.
