Netflix has dropped the first trailer for When We First Met, the upcoming rom-com fantasy starring Adam Devine and Alexandra Daddario.
The film follows Noah (Devine), a guy who, after spending the perfect first night with the girl of his dreams (Daddario), finds himself stuck in the friend zone. Naturally, he finds a photobooth that can send him back in time and give him chance to alter his fate – over and over again.
This marks the sophomore feature effort for director Ari Sandel, who helmed 2015 high school comedy The DUFF. John Whittington, known for The LEGO Batman Movie and The LEGO Ninjago Movie, has penned the screenplay. It looks like an amiable rom-com with a plot that could give Devine some fun material to work with. Hopefully this is a perfect date movie for a night in.
When We First Met, also starring Shelley Hennig, Andrew Bachelor and Robbie Amell, will arrive on the streaming network on February 9.
