New ‘Widows’ Trailer: Viola Davis Thriller Boasts a Seriously Impressive Ensemble

Take a look at the new trailer to arrive for Widows, an upcoming dramatic thriller from 12 Years a Slave and Shame director Steve McQueen. The film stars Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Devicki and Cynthia Erivo as a group of widows who inherit the debt left behind by their now deceased criminals husbands. They decide to take their fate into their own hands.

The standout ensemble also includes Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Robert Duvall, Daniel Kaluuya, Lukas Haas and Brian Tyree Henry. Plus, McQueen has written this adaptation of the 1983 series of the same name with Gillian Flynn, who authored and wrote the adaptation of Gone Girl. AND, the score is by none other than Hans Zimmer. So yeah, sign us up.

Widows will be hitting US cinemas on 16 November and arrives in Australia on 29 November.
