An extended clip has been released for Wild, the upcoming drama starring Reese Witherspoon.
Early reviews are quite positive for the film, highlighting what is said to be one of Witherspoon’s best performances. Directed by Jean-Marc Vallée, who directed Matthew McConaughey to his Oscar win in Dallas Buyers Club, Wild tells the true story of a woman’s 1,100-mile solo hike after her mother passes away and her marriage falls apart.
The amusing clip below sees a reporter from The Hobo Times mistake Witherspoon’s run-down Cheryl Strayed for a “lady hobo”.
Official synopsis for Wild:
With the dissolution of her marriage and the death of her mother, Cheryl Strayed (Reese Witherspoon) has lost all hope. After years of reckless, destructive behavior, she makes a rash decision. With absolutely no experience, driven only by sheer determination, Cheryl hikes more than a thousand miles of the Pacific Crest Trail, alone. WILD powerfully captures the terrors and pleasures of one young woman forging ahead against all odds on a journey that maddens, strengthens, and ultimately heals her.
