Witches of East End, Lifetime’s supernatural drama, has been cancelled after two seasons.
Deadline reports that the series, which told of the supernatural Beauchamp family, began its second season with only 1.1 million viewers. This marked a 42% drop compared with the series pilot.
Lifetime has cancelled two of their three scripted shows, also cancelling The Lottery. Devious Maids is now the only current scripted show that Lifetime has returning next year, though fans of the network won’t be left with a single show for too long, with UnREAL and Damien (The Omen sequel series) on the way.
As is often the case with cancellations, the cut comes at a bad time for fans of Witches of East End. The final episode of season 2 saw some major plotlines end on cliffhangers, including brothers Dash and Killian swapping bodies and Ingrid finding out she was pregnant.
