Check out the first trailer for Woman in Gold, an upcoming drama starring Ryan Reynolds, Helen Mirren, Daniel Brühl and Katie Holmes.
Based on a true story, Woman in Gold tells of a Jewish refugee (Mirren) who hires a young lawyer (Reynolds) to help her retrieve a family painting the Nazis stole in WWII.
There’s no doubt that this story could make for some great viewing, but the first Woman in Gold trailer is a little too generic to provide us with much excitement. Still, the impressive cast certainly can’t hurt, and director Simon Curtis’ My Week with Marilyn was a decent film, so there’s a chance this could be worth a watch. Fingers crossed.
