‘Wounds’ Trailer: Armie Hammer & Dakota Johnson in Gruesome Netflix Horror

Take a look at the trailer released for upcoming horror film Wounds, starring Armie Hammer, Dakota Johnson, and Zazie Beetz.

The film follows bartender Will (Hammer), who after a violent incident at the bar finds a lost phone containing some disturbing footage. That’s the basic premise, but as the trailer below shows, that’s just the beginning of what looks like a pretty visceral descent into madness and horror.

This is the second feature for British-Iranian filmmaker Babak Anvari, who made an impressive debut with the dramatic and creepy 2016 film Under the Shadow. It looks good, like the type of thriller that can really get under your skin; one that’ll leave you wanting a shower as the end credits roll. We’re intrigued, particularly with the crazy finale that many of the reviews touch on.

Wounds will be hits Hulu in the US and Netflix outside the US on October 18.

Official synopsis for Wounds:

WOUNDS is a probing thriller from writer/director Babak Anvari, following his award-winning 2016 debut feature Under the Shadow. The new movie advances the filmmaker’s examinations of everyday lives being upended by inner demons and external menace, as New Orleans bartender Will’s (Armie Hammer) retrieval of a lost phone subjects him to disturbing visions; pulled deeper into poisoned interactions with live-in girlfriend Carrie (Dakota Johnson) and bar regular Alicia (Zazie Beetz), Will’s rage escalates as the warping reality of his existence turns him towards a frightening portal.
