X-Men Apocalypse will start shooting in April this year, so the hunt is on for the cast members to play the younger versions of some pretty well known X-Men.
Latino Review has unveiled a group of young actors they claim are testing for the roles of Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm.
Chloë Grace Moretz, Elle Fanning and Hailee Steinfeld were rumoured to be up for parts last year, but they aren’t being whispered about anymore.
Testing for the part of Young Cyclops are Taron Egerton, an English actor about to get noticed in Matthew Vaughn‘s Kingsman: The Secret Service; Jamie Blackley, another English actor, known for co-starring in last year’s Chloë Grace Moretz-starring drama If I Stay; and Tye Sheridan, a Texas-born young actor who impressed in the Matthew McConaughey-starring Mud.
Testing for Young Jean Grey are Sophie Turner, best known for playing Sansa Stark in HBO’s Game of Thrones, and Saoirse Ronan, the Oscar-nominated actress known for her roles in Atonement, The Lovely Bones and Hanna.
Going for the role of Young Storm are Alexandra Shipp, who recently played R&B singer Aaliyah in Lifetime’s Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, and Zendaya Coleman, best known for her role in Disney Channel projects Shake It Up and Zapped.
X-Men: Apocalypse, which will see director Byran Singer back at the helm, will hit U.S. cinemas on May 27, 2016.
