New ‘Zombieland: Double Tap’ Trailer Offers More Craziness, F-Bombs and a Cameo

Sony Pictures

A new trailer has been released for Zombieland: Double Tap, the sequel to the hit zombie action-comedy that was released a decade (?!) ago.

Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin are back as the makeshift family that we saw reluctantly group together in an attempt to survive the zombie apocalypse. Well, they’re still together, still bickering, and still kickin’ zombie ass. Although, as the trailer shows, they’ll be meeting a number of new characters (played by Rosario Dawson, Luke Wilson and more) and have to take on “strong, faster, better adapted to the hunt” zombies.

With all four leads and the creatives back – including director Ruben Fleischer at the helm and screenwriters Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick – this sequel should be a very comfortable follow-up for fans of the first film. We’re looking forward to it. Check out the new trailer, which includes a bit of a cameo from someone we saw take a turn in the first film.

Zombieland: Double Tap arrives in Australian cinemas on October 17 and hits US cinemas on October 18. And if you’re in Australia and haven’t entered our tickets giveaway – head right HERE.

Official synopsis for Zombieland: Double Tap:

A decade after Zombieland became a hit film and a cult classic, the lead cast (Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone) have reunited with director Ruben Fleischer (Venom) and the original writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (Deadpool) for Zombieland: Double Tap. In the sequel, written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and Dave Callaham, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, these four slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.
