A big final trailer has been unveiled for Alien: Romulus, boasting more footage from the seventh film in the sci-fi horror franchise (or ninth, if you want to count Alien vs. Predator (2004) Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007)).

Set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), this chapter follows a group of young space colonists who decide to scavenge the Romulus space station to steal highly regulated equipment. “This could be our only ticket out of here,” says a character int he trailer. Well, the price of scavenging this particular space station is going to be steep. Cue some of the most terrifying life forms in space.

The film comes from director Fede Alvarez, renowned for Don’t Breathe and Evil Dead. He also penned the screenplay with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (Don’t Breathe 2). Ridley Scott, who not only directed the original Alien but also helmed and produced subsequent entries such as Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, is on board as a producer.

The film’s cast includes Cailee Spaeny (Civil War), David Jonsson (Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), Spike Fearn (Aftersun), and Aileen Wu.

Alien: Romulus will be in Australian cinemas on August 15 and US cinemas on August 16th.
