A new trailer has arrived for Ambulance, the latest action extravaganza from director Michael Bay (Transformers, Armaggedon, The Rock).

A remake of the 2005 Danish film of the same name, Ambulance stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as two brothers who find themselves in a high-speed pursuit after a bank heist goes wrong. You see, desperate for cash, decorated veteran Will sharp (Abdul-Matten II) made the mistake of asking his career criminal adoptive bro, Danny (Gyllenhaal), for help. One thing leads to another, and they’re soon speeding across L.A. in an effort to evade law enforcement, in an ambulance, with a wounded cop, and a medic (Eiza González).

More of the expected “Bayhem” shown off in the trailer below, with big practical stunts and plenty of drama with our two fugitives. The trailer also features one of the film’s more chilled moments: Will and Danny vibing out to Christopher Cross track “Sailing”. Or, at least, they’re trying to. “It’s not chilling me out!” an exasperated Danny says. Yeah… guess the situation is a little tense.

Ambulance will be in Australian cinemas on April 7th and U.S. cinemas on April 8th. Take a look at the new trailer, as well as the film’s U.S. IMAX poster beneath it.

Official synopsis and rundown for Ambulance:

Over one day across the streets of L.A., three lives will change forever.

A charismatic career criminal, Danny instead offers him a score: the biggest bank heist in Los Angeles history: $32 million. With his wife’s survival on the line, Will can’t say no.

But when their getaway goes spectacularly wrong, the desperate brothers hijack an ambulance with a wounded cop clinging to life and ace EMT Cam Thompson (Eiza González, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Baby Driver) onboard.
