Take a look above at the trailer Netflix has released for American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson, a four-part docuseries that takes a closer look at one of the most infamous trials in recent history.
The case is hard to forget. In 1995, former NFL player and actor O.J. Simpson stood accused of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman. The eight-month trial dominated the media, keeping millions glued to their screens. Simpson’s acquittal was a shockwave moment, fuelling heated conversations about race, justice, and celebrity influence that continue even today.
Directed by Floyd Russ (American Manhunt: Boston Marathon Bombing, Untold: Malice at the Palace), the series revisits this cultural flashpoint. It features new interviews with people closely tied to the case, such as LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman, famed witness Kato Kaelin, defence lawyer Carl Douglas, prosecutor Christopher Darden, and Ronald Goldman’s sister, Kim.

“Our interview subjects have a power to reflect in a new way with the passage of 30 years,” Russ explained to Netflix site Tudum. “Their emotions have evolved, and the way they’re able to talk about it is different than they ever have before. That sense of reflection from the people involved was apparent from the get-go, which made us feel that this story was one that needed to be told in a new and different way.”
American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson arrives on Netflix on 29 January.
