Take a look above at the first trailer that Sony Pictures has unveiled for the next film in the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys: Ride or Die (a shame about the third film’s title; this film could have gone with Bad Boys 4 Life).

The fourth chapter turns the tables and finds Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett – Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprising their roles – on the run from the law after being set up. As the trailer shows, the pair reunite with Armando Aretas (Jacob Scipio), a villain from third film that was revealed to have a big connection to Mike.

The film is directed by Bad Boys for Life helmers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, from a screenplay by Bad Boys for Life co-writer Chris Bremner. The cast includes Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Nuñez, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Melanie Liburd, Tasha Smith (taking over the role of Theresa Burnett from Theresa Randle), Tiffany Haddish, and Joe Pantoliano.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die will open in Australian cinemas on June 6th and US cinemas on June 7th.
