Take a look at the official trailer that’s arrived for upcoming thriller Barbarians, which tells of one crappy dinner party.
Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones), Tom Cullen (Knightfall), Will Kemp (Reign) and Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace) are among the cast of this one. Set over 24 hours, the film tells of what unfolds when four friends come together for a celebratory dinner party at a country house. Things take a nightmarish turn when the doorbell rings. As manners give way to madness, an evening of celebration descends into a dark night of terror; and a civilized dinner party turns out to be anything but.
This is the directorial debut for writer-director Charles Dorfman, an associate and executive producer whose credits include The King’s Speech, Honest Thief and Maggie Gyllenhaal Oscar contender The Lost Daughter. It looks like a good time – at least for the viewer, the trailer teasing a good balance of twists, dark humour, and gnarly showdowns. We’ll see.
Also starring Inés Spiridonov, Connor Swindells, Tommy McDonnell, and Kevin Ryan, Barbarians hits On Demand and limited U.S. cinemas on April 1st.
