Now, this could be fun! The official trailer has been released for Bullet Train, a star-studded action-thriller led by Brad Pitt and directed by Deadpool 2, Hobbs & Shaw, and Atomic Blonde helmer David Leitch.

Pitt plays Ladybug, an assassin who, of course, wants out of the biz and no longer wants to kill. As we all know, that’s a no-no. Cue one hell of a train trip through Japan, as Ladybug finds himself on board with an eclectic, diverse group of assassins ““ all with connected yet conflicting objectives.

The cast includes Sandra Bullock (playing Ladybug’s handler, Maria Beetle, who we only hear in the trailer below), Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada, Michael Shannon, and Benito A Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny). The film, written by Zak Olkewicz (Fear Street: Part Two – 1978), is based upon the 2010 book Maria Beetle by Japanese author Kōtarō Isaka.

Looks like a great time here. The trailer shows off a colourful, lively actioner, with some slick-looking mayhem, a strong sense of humour, and a great cast to boot. Can’t wait. Mark the date: Bullet Train will be released in U.S. cinemas on July 15th and Australian cinemas on July 21st.
