The official trailer has arrived for the first part of the highly anticipated sixth and final season of Cobra Kai, set to premiere on Netflix this July. Watch it above.
While Season 5 ended on what was a relatively calm note, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to find out that the peace won’t last long. With Cobra Kai defeated in the Valley, the characters now face a pivotal decision: whether to compete in the Sekai Taikai, the world championships of karate. And although Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) was vanquished in the last season, the danger isn’t over. Cobra Kai founder John Kreese (Martin Kove) returned, having faked his death and escaped from prison. His plans for his newfound freedom remain a tantalising mystery.
“There are plenty of surprises in Season 6. You’re going to love it,” Kove teased in a behind-the-scenes video from the set filmed in February (you can watch it HERE). “It’s gonna be a banger,” added Xolo Maridueña, who portrays Miguel Diaz.
The ensemble cast of season 6 also includes Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, Gianni DeCenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, Dallas Dupree Young, Yuji Okumoto, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro, and Oona O’Brien.
The final season of Cobra Kai will be a three-part event, each consisting of five episodes. Part 1 premieres on July 18, followed by Part 2 on November 24. The third and final part of Season 6 will debut in 2025, closing out a grand 15-episode farewell to the beloved series.
