Marvel Studios has just unveiled the electrifying final trailer for the eagerly awaited superhero ensemble film, Deadpool & Wolverine, uniting Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman within the MCU. Watch it above.

This latest trailer showcases new moments that will have fans pausing. Among the fresh footage is the exciting confirmation of Dafne Keen’s return, reprising her role as X-23, also known as Laura, the mutant girl who accompanied Wolverine in the 2017 hit Logan.

Keen confessed to feeling a bit anxious about returning to a role she last played as a child eight years ago. “I was a bit freaked out,” Keen said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I was like, ‘I will have forgotten how to play her. She’s not in me anymore.'” Keen said that while she “was freaking out” during the intense scene that she was thrown in to film straight away, the character came back to her. “As soon as they said, ‘Rolling!’ I really felt like we were back doing Logan. It was like eight years hadn’t passed.”

A big aspect of Laura’s evolution, Keen noted, is her now matured understanding of Wolverine’s journey during the events of Logan. “It was wonderful to get to come back to that and explore that as a grownup, now understanding more parental rage so much more and bringing that to the table for her,” she said. “I found that Laura in Logan stumbled into having a dad and then having lost her dad. We find her again really knowing how to appreciate — and with this kind of wiseness to her — how much her father means to her.”

Joining Reynolds and Jackman is a line-up that includes Emma Corrin as the villainous Cassandra Nova, Matthew Macfadyen as Time Variance Authority (TVA) agent Mr. Paradox, and Tyler Mane returning as Sabretooth, among many, many others in a film expected to be packing in guest appearances. There’s plenty of speculation as to who will play Lady Deadpool, who is given another snippet here; will it be Blake Lively, Taylor Swift, Reynolds in a wig?

The film is directed by Shawn Levy, known for Night at the Museum, Free Guy, and Real Steel, who also penned the screenplay with Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells.

Deadpool & Wolverine is set to hit cinemas in Australia and New Zealand on July 25th, and US cinemas on July 26th.
