Universal Pictures has dropped a big new trailer for the next film in the Despicable Me/Minions franchise.
Despicable Me 4, the first Despicable Me movie in seven years, finds Gru (Steve Carell), Lucy (Kristen Wiig) and their girls — Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier) and Agnes (Madison Polan) — welcoming a new member to the family. Meet little Gru Jr., a cutie who appears to be intent on tormenting his dad. Gru certainly has his hands full; apart from the new family member, there’s also the matter of new nemesis Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell) and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina (Sofia Vergara).
The film’s voice cast also includes Pierre Coffin, Joey King, Stephen Colbert, Chloe Fineman, Steve Coogan, and Chris Renaud.
Minions co-creator Chris Renaud (Despicable Me, The Secret Life of Pets) directed the film, with Patrick Delage (animation director Sing 2 and The Secret Life of Pets 2) on board as co-director. The screenplay was written by White Lotus creator Mike White and Despicable Me franchise veteran Ken Daurio.
Despicable Me 4 opens in Australian cinemas on June 20th and the U.S. cinemas on July 3rd.
