Take a look above at the big new trailer that’s flown in for Twisters, described as “a current-day chapter of the 1996 blockbuster, Twister“.
Daisy Edgar-Jones (Where the Crawdads Sing, Normal People) and Glen Powell (Anyone But You, Top Gun: Maverick) star as Kate Cooper and Tyler Owens, two polar opposites drawn together by nature’s fury. Kate, haunted by a traumatic encounter with a tornado in her college days, now studies storms from the safety of New York City. But when her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts) tempts her back to the plains to test a revolutionary tracking system, she finds herself face-to-face with Tyler, the daredevil social media sensation whose appetite for danger knows no bounds. As storm season ramps up, unprecedented cataclysms unfold, thrusting Kate, Tyler, and their teams into a high-stakes battle against nature’s wrath.
The cast includes David Corenswet (who’s playing Superman in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman: Legacy), Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane (American Honey), Daryl McCormack (Peaky Blinders), Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Nik Dodani (Atypical) and Maura Tierney (Beautiful Boy).
