Ahead of the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, we were lucky enough to sit down with one of the film’s producers, Brad Fuller.
The sequel catches up with our anthropomorphic turtles as they embark on their biggest adventure yet. Not only has Shredder now escaped custody, there’s also the matter of mad scientist Baxter Stockman, two dimwitted henchmen, Bebop and Rocksteady, and the out-of-this-world villain TMNT fans will surely be excited to see, Krang.
Following the Sydney premiere of TMNT 2, we sat down with Fuller, who produces the film alongside Andrew Form and Michael Bay under their Platinum Dunes production banner, and discussed the challenges of bringing this follow-up to the screens, the input the fans had after the first film, and what he’s most proud of about the sequel, among other things.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Stephen Amell, Tyler Perry, Gary Anthony Williams, and Stephen Farrelly, hits the U.S. on June 3 and Australia on June 9.
Synopsis for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows:
Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael return to theaters this summer to battle bigger, badder villains, alongside April O’Neil (Megan Fox), Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett), and a newcomer: the hockey-masked vigilante Casey Jones (Stephen Amell). After super villain Shredder escapes custody, he joins forces with mad scientist Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry) and two dimwitted henchmen, Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (WWE Superstar Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly), to unleash a diabolical plan to takeover the world. As the Turtles prepare to take on Shredder and his new crew, they find themselves facing an even greater evil with similar intentions: the notorious Krang.
