The official trailer has arrived for Five Nights at Freddy’s, the film adaptation of the hit horror video game franchise consisting of nine games.

Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games franchise, Future Man) leads the feature, playing a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realises the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through. Get ready for killer animatronic mascots… who may be inhabited by the ghosts of children?!

The cast includes Elizabeth Lail (You, Mack & Rita), Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy, Unstable), Kat Conner Sterling (We Have a Ghost, 9-1-1), with Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot, Fried Green Tomatoes) and Matthew Lillard (Good Girls, Scream).

Directing this one is Emma Tammi (The Wind, Blood Moon), with a screenplay written by creator Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi and Seth Cuddeback. The film is produced by Jason Blum (Blumhouse) and Cawthon.

Five Nights at Freddy’s, with animatronic characters created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, will open in Australian cinemas on October 26th and U.S. cinemas on October 27th.
