New ‘Fountain of Youth’ Trailer: Natalie Portman and John Krasinski Search for Immortality in Guy Ritchie Adventure

The second official trailer for Fountain of Youth has landed, showing off more of the Guy Ritchie-directed globe-spanning adventure starring Natalie Portman and John Krasinski. Take a look above and learn more below.

Portman and Krasinski lead as Charlotte and Luke — estranged siblings who reluctantly reunite when a centuries-old mystery reemerges: the fabled Fountain of Youth. Luke, a charming art thief, draws Charlotte — a sharp historian — back into a world their late father was obsessed with. As they trace hidden clues across continents and centuries, what begins as a personal mission turns into a race against powerful enemies, including the Catholic Church.

Though the film now bears Ritchie’s signature blend of action and banter, Fountain of Youth didn’t begin with him at the helm. It was first announced in March 2023 with Rocketman and Ghosted filmmaker Dexter Fletcher set to direct from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, The Amazing Spider-Man). Fletcher later exited the project, Vanderbilt’s script remained, and in January 2024, Ritchie stepped in to steer the production.

The trailer teases classic genre thrills: secret codes hidden in Renaissance paintings, underground catacombs, slick getaways, and sibling friction with a side of immortality. It’s equal parts high-stakes heist and mythic quest — a blend Ritchie should be at home with. He’s got a solid cast all-round here, with Portman, Krasinski, and a line-up that includes Eiza González, Domhnall Gleeson, Carmen Ejogo, Stanley Tucci, Laz Alonso, and Arian Moayed.

Fountain of Youth will be available to stream on Apple TV+ from May 23.
