HBO Max Australia’s July 2025 lineup is stacked with blockbuster premieres, compelling originals, and nostalgic throwbacks – and yes, we’ve included trailers too.

Leading the charge is Sinners, the IMAX-shattering horror hit from Ryan Coogler, making its global streaming debut. Also on the slate: the intimate docuseries Billy Joel: And So It Goes, the literary London murder mystery Bookish, and the frontier survival series Back to the Frontier. Add to that a Superman retrospective, a wild Batman Ninja sequel, and the heartwarming Chespirito biopic, and July is shaping up to be one of Max’s most diverse months yet. Launching its first trailblazing issue in 1972 and still publishing today, Ms. magazine revolutionised the feminist movement, igniting provocative conversations about issues that impact women, from politics to harassment, race, sex, and abortion. In the documentary, three filmmakers select iconic cover stories to explore the complexities of creating a magazine that was unafraid to wrestle with challenging, and often polarising, issues.

HBO Documentary Films presents Dear Ms.: A Revolution in Print, a McGee Media Production. In this sequel to Batman Ninja, the Batman family has returned to the present to discover that Japan has disappeared, and a giant island – Hinomoto – is now in the sky over Gotham City. At the top sit the Yakuza, a group of superpowered individuals who reign without honour or humanity and look suspiciously like the Justice League. Now, it’s up to Batman and his allies to save Gotham!

Sinners, the highest-grossing and best-indexing horror film ever released in IMAX, will make its global streaming debut exclusively on Max.

Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
