Prime Video has unveiled the first trailer for Mr. & Mrs. Smith, a reimagined version of the iconic film originally starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. This new iteration stars Donald Glover and Maya Erskine in the lead roles.
Glover and Erskine portray two solitary individuals whose lives take a thrilling turn when they are recruited by a clandestine spy agency. This opportunity promises them a world of espionage, untold riches, exotic travels, and a dream residence in a Manhattan brownstone. The twist: they must be under the guise of married couple Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Smith. As they delve deeper into their roles, the lines between pretense and genuine affection blur, posing the question: Which poses a greater challenge, the world of espionage or the realm of marriage?
Adding to the allure of the series is a stellar line-up of guest stars, including the likes of Alexander Skarsgård, Eiza González, Sarah Paulson, Sharon Horgan, Ron Perlman, Billy Campbell, Úrsula Corberó, Paul Dano, Michaela Coel, John Turturro, Parker Posey, and Wagner Moura.
The creative minds behind this project are Glover and Francesca Sloane, with Sloane bringing her experience from acclaimed such as Fargo and Glover’s own Atlanta.
