The trailer has arrived for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, the next chapter in the franchise that kicked off with a surprise hit back in 2002.

The third film finds the Portokalos family as they travel to a family reunion in Greece. As the official logline reads, expect “a heartwarming and hilarious trip full of love, twists and turns. Opa!”

Franchise creator/star Nia Vardalos, who returns as Toula and is again behind the screenplay, is also in the director’s chair this time around. This marks her second feature film at the helm; she made her directorial debut with 2009 comedy I Hate Valentine’s Day.

The cast includes John Corbett, Elena Kampouris, Gia Carides, Joey Fatone, Louis Mandylor, with Lainie Kazan, and Andrea Martin. Franchise producers Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, and Gary Goetzman also return.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 will be opening in Australia cinemas on September 7th and U.S. cinemas on September 8th.
