It appears that we will soon see Charlie Cox return as Matt Murdock in a new Daredevil series!

There have been rumours aplenty that another chapter of Daredevil was on the way – particularly following recent appearances by Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio as Murdock and Wilson Fisk (aka Kingpin), respectively. Well, Kevin Feige and co. wouldn’t include them without a game plan, so…

A new Daredevil series is reportedly coming together at Disney+. The new series will be written and executive produced by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, who have previously been behind series such as Covert Affairs, Containment, and The Brave.

Variety broke the news, with confirmation coming from various outlets including Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter. Marvel has yet to make an official announcement on the reported series, although the studio generally doesn’t release comments on projects that are in development.

This marks the first of the Marvel-Netflix shows to earn a new chapter at Disney+. Daredevil was cancelled in 2018 after three seasons, meeting its end along with the other Marvel shows making up Netflix’s The Defenders roster: Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. The Punisher, starring Jon Bernthal, was also cancelled. The titles then moved to Disney+. It appears that Marvel is gearing up to continue at least some of those shows under one roof.

No time frame, or even casting, has been announced as yet. Let’s hope we get official word asap!
