Perfectly timed for Star Wars Day (this landing on May the Fourth in the U.S.), the full-length official trailer and a new poster have been unveiled for upcoming Star Wars limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Ewan McGregor reprises his role as Obi-Wan in this highly-anticipated new chapter in the Star Wars galaxy, set 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The series also brings back Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, who of course turned to the Dark Side and became Darth Vader. Among the exciting snippets on offer in the trailer: a nice little tease of the Sith Lord’s return, a look at the ruthless villain Inquisitor Reva, a glimpse of a young Luke Skywalker, and a bit of Joel Edgerton‘s return as Anakin’s stepbrother, Tatooine farmer Owen Lars, who delivers Obi-Wan quite the guilt-causing one-liner.

The cast includes Moses Ingram as Inquisitor Reva / Third Sister; Bonnie Piesse as Beru Whitesun Lars (wife to Owen and step-aunt to Luke Skywalker); Rupert Friend as high-ranking Galactic Empire inquisitor the Grand Inquisitor; Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.

All six episodes were directed by Deborah Chow, who was at the helm of two episodes of The Mandalorian and whose television credits include Better Call Saul, Jessica Jones, and Fear the Walking Dead.  Chow is among an executive producer team that includes McGregor, Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, and Joby Harold, the latter of whom served as showrunner.

Mark the date: Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere with a two-episode drop on Disney+ on May 27th, with weekly episodes dropping on Wednesdays until the finale on June 22nd.
