‘Predator: Killer of Killers’ Trailer: Animated Film Has Predators Facing Ninjas, Vikings, and WWII Pilots

The Predator franchise is getting an animated entry – and our first look trailer is here! Predator: Killer of Killers is the surprise second film from Prey director Dan Trachtenberg, who’s taking the franchise into anthology territory. As you can see in the trailer above, we’re continuing to move across eras and cultures – now with a style distinct from anything we’ve seen in the series before.

Set across three distinct time periods, Killer of Killers drops Predators into the paths of some of humanity’s most fearsome fighters: a Viking seeking revenge, a ninja navigating deadly family politics in feudal Japan, and a WWII pilot facing something far stranger than enemy fire. Each of them thinks they’re the hunter—until they realise they’re being stalked by something far worse. Aerial dogfights, sword clashes in the moonlight, and bloodied battlefields—Killer of Killers looks badass.

Trachtenberg directs with animation veteran/visualisation supervisor Josh Wassung (Prey, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts) as co-director. The script comes from Micho Robert Rutare (Z Nation), based on a story by Rutare and Trachtenberg. Also on board are producers John Davis, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt, and executive producers Lawrence Gordon, James E. Thomas, John C. Thomas, and Stefan Grube.

This is the first of two Predator pictures coming from Trachtenberg this year. The filmmaker also has the live-action Predator: Badlands, starring Elle Fanning, set for a theatrical release in November.

Predator: Killer of Killers will premiere on Hulu on June 6th.
