Netflix has released the big official trailer for Zack Snyder‘s (Batman v Superman, 300, Man of Steel) highly anticipated space saga, Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire. Watch the trailer above and watch the man himself offering up an entertaining and insightful trailer breakdown below.
Directed and co-written by Snyder (he’s also the film’s cinematographer), Rebel Moon is set against the backdrop of a distant universe, where the idyllic moon colony of Veldt faces an ominous threat. Under the iron fist of the Imperium, ruling the Motherworld, Veldt is compelled to surrender its harvests. Amidst this turmoil, a determined young woman (Sofia Boutella, The Mummy) embarks on a daring journey across the galaxy. Her objective is clear: to assemble a coalition of warriors from diverse corners of space, united in their aim to defy the oppressors and safeguard her adoptive home.
The film is boasting quite the ensemble cast. Joining Boutella in the space opera: Charlie Hunnam, Michiel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Cleopatra Coleman, Jena Malone, Fra Fee, Ed Skrein, and Anthony Hopkins.
Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire will be landing on Netflix this December 22nd. Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver will be released on April 19th, 2024.
