The official full-length trailer has been unveiled for CG-animated feature The Super Mario Bros. Movie, taking the beloved Nintendo video game character to the big screen.

Chris Pratt voices Mario in this adventure, which finds our heroic plumber on a mission to save multiple universes by taking on Bowser (voiced by Jack Black). Also along for the ride are Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), Luigi (Charlie Day), Donkey Kong (Seth Rogen), Toad (Keegan-Michael Key) and Cranky Kong (Fred Armisen), among others. Plenty of nods for fans in the trailer, including a look at Mario and friends hitting the Rainbow Road on their Karts!

The film is directed by Aaron Horvath & Michael Jelenic (collaborators on Teen Titans Go!, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies) and written by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, Minions: The Rise of Gru).

The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be opening in Australian cinemas on March 30th and U.S. cinemas on April 7th, 2023.
