Paramount has released the official trailer for 1923, the next chapter in the expanding Yellowstone universe from creator Taylor Sheridan.

Living screen legends Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren lead the upcoming Western drama, which follows another generation in the Dutton family as the early twentieth century unfolds. As per the press release, the series finds Jacob and Cara Dutton (Ford and Mirren, respectively) in a time “when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west.”

The cast includes Timothy Dalton as the intimidating and nefarious Donald Whitfield; James Badge Dale as John Dutton Sr., oldest nephew and right-hand man of Jacob; Sebastian Roché as Father Renaud, headmaster of the school for American Indians; and Marley Shelton as Emma Dutton, the dutiful wife of John Dutton Sr. and the mother of Jack Dutton; among others.

It’s certainly a great time to be a fan of all things Yellowstone. That series currently has its fifth season unfolding, the first prequel series 1883 had its much-lauded run late last year into this year, 1923 is gearing up for release, and another spinoff, the present-day-set 6666, is in the works.

1923 will premiere on Paramount+ in U.S. on December 18th (December 18th in Australia).
