A very intriguing one here. Take a look above at the first trailer to arrive for The Watchers, a supernatural horror film marking the feature debut as director and writer for Ishana Night Shyamalan, daughter of filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan (among the producers here). Ishana previously directed six episodes and wrote ten episodes of Apple TV+ series Servant, executive produced by M. Night.

Based on the novel of the same name by A. M. Shine, The Watchers follows Mina (played by Dakota Fanning), a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.

The cast includes Georgina Campbell (Barbarian), Oliver Finnegan (Outlander) and Olwen Fouere (The Northman). The behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Eli Arenson (Lamb), production designer Ferdia Murphy (Lola), editor Job ter Burg (Benedetta) and costume design by Frank Gallacher (Aftersun). The music is by Abel Korzeniowski (Nocturnal Animals).

The Watchers is set to open in Australian cinemas June 6th and U.S. cinemas on June 14th.
