Freedom has a price, and for Ethan Hawke, it involves hauling stolen gold through some very dangerous territory. To celebrate The Weight arriving in Australian cinemas September 17, Screen Realm has 10 double passes to give away!

Set in 1933 Oregon, the thriller stars Ethan Hawke as Samuel Murphy, a father torn from his daughter and sent to a brutal prison. His possible way out comes courtesy of Warden Clancy, played by Russell Crowe, who makes him an offer that is difficult to refuse: join a group of prisoners on a dangerous mission to smuggle gold out of a remote mine and earn his freedom.

Getting the gold is only part of the problem. Samuel and his fellow prisoners must carry their haul through unforgiving wilderness, with greed, suspicion and the promise of riches steadily turning the group against itself. Every step towards freedom brings another opportunity for betrayal.

Directed by Padraic McKinley, The Weight also stars Julia Jones, Austin Amelio, Avi Nash, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen and Sam Hazeldine. The film has been earning strong reviews ahead of release, currently sitting at an impressive 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.
