The official trailer has dropped for The Witcher season 3, which will be the final run of episodes as Geralt for star Henry Cavill. Liam Hemsworth will be taking on the mantle in season 4.
The third chapter finds Geralt taking Ciri (Freya Allan) into hiding to avoid the monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent competing to capture her. Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), who’s been entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza. The plan is to uncover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.
The Witcher‘s third season is to be released in two parts: Netflix unveils the first five episodes on June 29th and the final three episodes on July 27th.
